2023 Election: Reactions As Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed Sprays Money On Residents From SUV

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has come under heavy criticism for spraying money at residents of his states, while he was being driven in a convoy through a cheering crowd. Bala Mohammed during the weekend caused a chaotic scene during his visit to Azare town where threw money at residents. The Governor who was being hailed by the crowd stood up through the open roof of his SUV and sprayed naira at a happy crowd. This act is actually against the Nigerian law Section 21 (3,4,5) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Act 2007 clearly prohibits any form of abuse of the Nigerian currency. The Act prescribes “imprisonment for a term not less than six months or to a fine not less than N50,000 or to both such fine and imprisonment for anyone guilty of spraying of, dancing or matching on the Naira or any note issued by the Bank during social occasions. As the People's Democratic Party (PDP) bring their house to order with respect to the 2019 presidential elections, the last few days have been the N12million form (N2million for Expression of Interest form and N10million for Nomination form) acquisition moments for it top aspirants like Saraki, Kwankwaso and Atiku Abubakar.

Dr. Sen. Bukola Saraki

He is currently the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who immediately bought the PDP's presidential form just few hours after declaring his interest for the 2019 presidency.
The form was obtained on his behalf by Mohammed Wakil, The director-general of the Saraki's Presidential Campaign Organisation.


Alhaji Atiku Abubakar
Former two-term Vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who served under Ex - President Olusegun Obasanjo.

He have been pursuing the presidency for a long time and Atiku never failed in acquiring his PDP's presidential form yesterday.

He was seen crying as he purchased the form. 


Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso
He was the former governor of Kano state and he is currently billed to be the toughest politician who can defeat incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari. 

Kwankwaso also never hesitated in picking his own form few hours back. 


Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal
Former Speaker of the Federal house of representatives and current governor of Sokoto State. 

He have always made his presidential intentions known to Nigerians from the onset and never thought it twice when he acquired his own presidential form few days back. 


Others are the Governor of Gombe State, Ibrahim Dankwambo, former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, a former Special Duties Minister, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki and a former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa.
