Our leaders lack capacity to manage Nigeria – Kwankwaso

Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, one of the PDP presidential aspirants, said yesterday that he has the capacity and qualification to manage the country, pointing out that the problem with Nigeria is that many leaders lack the capacity to address the various challenges confronting the nation.
Kwankwaso said this when he paid a courtesy visit on Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia at the Government House in Umuahia.
Kwankwaso  said he left the PDP ahead of 2015 because he thought the party was bad, but added that he had realized that the PDP was many times better than the APC.
He said that the biggest challenge in achieving socioeconomic development was wastage of resources, adding that there was need to check the trend especially in civil service and award of contracts.
Kwankwaso said that he believed that the country required someone who had the capacity, minimum qualification and experience to understand the diversity of the nation.
“This country needs somebody who would carry everyone along and understands the challenges of every ethnic and religious group.
“Somebody who has time and commitment to ensure that there is equity and  I believe if we have the right person there, this country would be the right place for everyone, “he added.
